Author Guidelines

Our journal seeks to publish high-quality, original research that contributes to the field of Power Systems. To ensure a smooth submission and publication process, please follow the guidelines detailed below.

Manuscript Categories

We accept the following types of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles: Detailed presentations of original research findings.
  • Review Papers: Comprehensive analyses of specific topics within the Power Systems domain.
  • Case Studies: In-depth examinations of particular instances or applications of Power Systems.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary findings or innovative concepts.

Preparation of Manuscripts

  1. Formatting: Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX, using a clear, readable font of at least 11 points. Please ensure your manuscript is double-spaced and includes consecutive line numbering.

  2. Structure: Your manuscript should be structured as follows:

    • Title: Concise and informative.
    • Abstract: A summary of the manuscript in 200 to 250 words, outlining the main findings and significance of the work.
    • Keywords: 5 to 7 keywords representing the main content of the article.
    • Introduction: Background and objectives of the study.
    • Materials and Methods: Detailed enough to allow replication of the study.
    • Results: Presentation of the data with appropriate tables and figures.
    • Discussion: Interpretation of the results and their implications.
    • Conclusions: Summary of findings and potential future directions.
    • References: Formatted according to the GSI Journal of Power Systems reference style.
  3. Figures and Tables: All figures and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. Each figure and table must have a descriptive caption.

  4. References: References should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the GSI Journal of Power Systems online submission system. First-time users will need to register before submitting.

  2. Cover Letter: A cover letter must accompany the manuscript submission, stating the manuscript's significance and confirming that it has not been previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  3. Peer Review: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review, where both the reviewers and authors are anonymized to ensure impartiality.

Publication Ethics

  1. Originality: Submissions must be entirely original and must not be under review by any other publication concurrently. Authors are required to acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have influenced their work.

  2. Plagiarism: The journal strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism. Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism, and if found guilty, they will be rejected immediately.

  3. Authorship: All authors listed must have made a significant contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript. It is also essential to ensure that all contributors are recognized appropriately in the manuscript.

Post-Acceptance

Upon acceptance, authors will be asked to provide a final copy of their manuscript along with any necessary figures or tables in their final form. Authors will also be required to agree to the open access license agreement, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The GSI Journal of Power Systems is an open access journal. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) once their manuscript has been accepted for publication. Detailed information about the APC amount and payment process will be provided upon acceptance.

    •  References are formatted according to the APA citation style, as outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  5. Ethical Considerations

    •  Any necessary ethical approval for the research has been obtained and is mentioned within the manuscript.
    •  Conflicts of interest, if any, are clearly stated in the manuscript.
  6. Authorship

    •  All authors who made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript preparation are listed.
    •  Corresponding author contact details are provided and correct.
  7. Cover Letter

    •  A cover letter is prepared, stating the manuscript’s significance and confirming its originality.
  8. Article Processing Charge (APC) Acknowledgment

    •  Acknowledgment that, if the manuscript is accepted, an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be payable to cover publication costs.
