Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines: GSI Journal of Medical Sciences

The GSI Journal of Medical Sciences invites high-quality, original research that contributes to advancing the field of medicine. To facilitate a smooth submission and publication process, please adhere to the guidelines below.

Manuscript Categories

We accept the following types of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles: Detailed presentations of original findings in medical research.
  • Review Papers: Comprehensive analyses of specific topics within medical sciences.
  • Case Studies: In-depth examinations of particular applications or medical instances.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary findings or innovative concepts.

Preparation of Manuscripts

Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX using a clear, readable font of at least 11 points.
  • Ensure the document is double-spaced and includes consecutive line numbering.

Structure

Manuscripts should follow this structure:

  1. Title: Concise and informative.
  2. Abstract: A 200 to 250-word summary outlining the main findings and significance.
  3. Keywords: Provide 5 to 7 keywords representing the article’s primary themes.
  4. Introduction: Describe the background and objectives of the study.
  5. Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient details to allow study replication.
  6. Results: Present data with appropriate tables and figures.
  7. Discussion: Interpret results and discuss their implications.
  8. Conclusions: Summarize key findings and potential future directions.
  9. References: Use APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.

Figures and Tables

  • Embed all figures and tables within the text at appropriate points.
  • Provide high-resolution images and concise, descriptive captions.

Submission Process

Online Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the GSI Journal of Medical Sciences online submission system. First-time users need to register before submitting.

Cover Letter

Include a cover letter that states:

  • The manuscript's significance to the medical field.
  • Confirmation that it has not been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere.

Peer Review

Submissions undergo a double-blind peer review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objectivity.

Publication Ethics

Originality

  • Submissions must be original and not under review by any other publication.
  • Authors should acknowledge all sources of data and cite influential publications.

Plagiarism

The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism. Manuscripts found to breach this policy will be rejected immediately.

Authorship

  • All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and manuscript preparation.
  • Proper acknowledgment of all contributors is mandatory.

Post-Acceptance

Final Submission

After acceptance, authors must provide a finalized version of their manuscript, including all necessary figures and tables in their final form.

Open Access License

Authors will agree to the open access license agreement, allowing unrestricted use and distribution of the work, provided proper credit is given.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The GSI Journal of Medical Sciences operates under an open access model. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance. Detailed information about APCs and the payment process will be provided post-acceptance.

✅ The manuscript is prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX, with:

  • A readable font of at least 11 points.
  • Double-spacing throughout the document.
  • Consecutive line numbering for easy reference during the review process.

Content Compliance

✅ The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
✅ All sources are appropriately cited and acknowledged in the manuscript.
✅ Includes an abstract (200–250 words) summarizing the study's key findings and significance.

Figures and Tables

✅ All figures and tables are included in the manuscript at relevant points.
✅ Each figure and table includes a descriptive caption.
✅ Figures and tables are of high quality suitable for publication.

References

✅ References are formatted according to the APA citation style, as specified in the Author Guidelines.

Ethical Considerations

✅ Ethical approvals for research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data are obtained and mentioned in the manuscript.
✅ Any conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed in the manuscript.

Authorship

✅ All authors who made significant contributions are listed.
✅ The corresponding author’s contact information is provided and verified.

Cover Letter

✅ A cover letter is included, highlighting the manuscript’s significance and confirming its originality.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Acknowledgment

✅ Confirmation that if the manuscript is accepted, an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be payable to cover publication costs.
