Author Guidelines

The GSI Journal of Advanced Fluid Mechanics invites high-quality, original research that contributes to advancing the field of fluid mechanics. To ensure a seamless submission and publication process, please adhere to the following guidelines.


Manuscript Categories

We accept submissions in the following categories:

  • Research Articles: Comprehensive presentations of original findings in fluid mechanics.
  • Review Papers: Detailed analyses of specific topics within theoretical, computational, or experimental fluid mechanics.
  • Case Studies: In-depth examinations of engineering applications or innovative methodologies in fluid mechanics.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports on preliminary findings or novel concepts in fluid dynamics.

Preparation of Manuscripts

Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX.
  • Use a clear, readable font (minimum size 11 points) and double-spacing.
  • Include consecutive line numbering throughout the manuscript.

Structure

Ensure your manuscript is organized as follows:

  1. Title: A concise and informative title reflecting the study’s focus.
  2. Abstract: A 200 to 250-word summary outlining the objectives, methods, findings, and significance of the study.
  3. Keywords: Provide 5 to 7 keywords representing the primary themes of the article.
  4. Introduction: Contextualize the study, highlighting background, objectives, and research significance.
  5. Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow replication of the study.
  6. Results: Present findings with relevant tables and figures.
  7. Discussion: Analyze the results, linking them to existing research and implications for fluid mechanics.
  8. Conclusions: Summarize key findings and propose future directions for research.
  9. References: Follow the APA citation style for all references.

Figures and Tables

  • Embed figures and tables within the manuscript at appropriate points.
  • Each figure and table must include a concise, descriptive caption.
  • High-resolution images are required for publication.

Submission Process

Online Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted via the GSI Journal of Advanced Fluid Mechanics online submission system. First-time users must register an account before submission.

Cover Letter

Include a cover letter addressing the following:

  • The manuscript’s significance to fluid mechanics research and its applications.
  • Confirmation that the manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Peer Review

Submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity, quality, and relevance.


Publication Ethics

Originality

  • Submissions must be entirely original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Authors should acknowledge all data sources and cite influential studies.

Plagiarism

  • The journal enforces a strict no-plagiarism policy.
  • Manuscripts found to breach this policy will be rejected outright.

Authorship

  • All authors listed must have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
  • Proper acknowledgment of non-author contributors is mandatory.

Post-Acceptance

Final Submission

After acceptance, authors must submit the finalized version of their manuscript, including all figures and tables in their final form.

Open Access License

Authors will agree to an open access license permitting unrestricted sharing and use of the published work, provided proper attribution is given.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

The journal follows an open access model and requires an APC upon acceptance. Details about APC amounts and payment procedures will be shared post-acceptance.

Authorship

✅ All authors who contributed significantly to the research are listed.
✅ Corresponding author’s contact information is provided and verified.


Cover Letter

✅ A cover letter is included, summarizing:

  • The manuscript’s significance.
  • Confirmation of originality.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Acknowledgment

✅ Confirmation that an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be payable upon acceptance to cover publication costs.
